What the hell are we up too...
Jun 14 2009
Hey all, as usual it's been a minute since we've been on this thing. A few people have asked lately what's going on with the live songs that we have recorded and promised for availability. We are slowly weeding through the gigs and deciding what is best for consumer consumption.
We've been taking a bit of time lately to hang out on a personal note rather than business. It's good for us since when we end up in a rehearsal space everyone's intensity and passion toward Pedestrian can become a bit...well...intense. Not sure when we are going to resume working on new material yet but we'll keep everyone posted on our progress.

In the meantime if you need a Pedestrian fix you can stream us on the drum channel.

Pedestrian went to SxSW and all we got was this lousy blog...
Mar 23 2009

Greetings guys and girls out there in the blogosphere. Its been a while since any of us sat to update this so here I (Zac) am to fill y'all in on the latest news and excitement. The last week saw us descend, along with several thousand of our closest friends, upon Austin, TX for the SxSW music festival. There was fun, there was laughter, there was blood, sweat and tears, there was dancing in the streets and much much more... There were so many highlights its hard to say where to begin... from seeing the original lineup of Jane's Addiction perform a secret show, to a borderline re-enactment of Assault on Precinct 13 with us defending our taxicab full of guitars and pedalboards from hoards of late night lunatics.... We saw many old friends and made many new ones. There was so much good music its impossible to describe, but highlights for me included Silversun Pickups, St. Vincent, Great Northern, Juliette Commagere, O+S, The Bird and The Bee, not to mention all the incredible local talent from the Hotel Cafe scene.... AND not to mention seeing METALLICA at a stones throw. Yikes.

By the time we took the stage Saturday night it felt as if we'd been in Austin for a month... We overcame the usual Pedestrian obstacles, broken strings and questionable rental amps, to deliver what was for all of us one of our favorite gigs in a while. Being a part of the festival, and within that, the Hotel Cafe presented shows, really reaffirmed what an exciting and vibrant musical community we are a part of, and that we really have something unique to offer. And you simply had to be there to see me and Joel with Brother Sal closing down the night with a truly bizarre rendition of "Chocolate Jesus" by Tom Waits...

Hopefully the people we met will be able to find their way to us, and us to them through this wonderful interweb we weave. In the meantime, its back to real life. Which for us means playing the next two Fridays (Mar 27th and April 3rd) at our beloved home base, The Hotel Cafe... We've been recording these sets there and will be continuing that over these next two shows for a live disc that we can offer our fans old and new. We've always loved the connections we've made with people all around the globe and our goal is one day to bring our music to all of you, everywhere. Our intention is to have some recordings which we hope will capture the spirit and energy we bring to a live show. Hopefully those of you that are local can join us this Friday or next and become a part of that. Until then, or the next time I'm inclined to blog you... Sayonara...
